Ya - well, given the limited time I get, and need to be close to home if the wife has an emergency - I can't hit the river. Local points only for me.

My apologies @ajschn06.  I interpreted your initial post that I quoted as targeting bass in early April on inland waters, which is not permitted.

You are correct, there are options outside of inland waters before the "opener."

...and I failed to get to them.  Darn it.  Not sure where the time goes.

Between work and two little ones (9/11) playing traveling soccer I haven't had much time to go out.  Pulled a beast out from under our dock yesterday, but going to target taking my boys fishing this weekend.  First thing in the am?  Mid day?  Sunset?  Night?  If you only picked 2 hours which two would it be?  2nd part of the question is if you expect the lake to be busy during the 12-6pm window does that change it.

Considering the current forecast has it sunny and 90 on Saturday - I'd take it as a safe bet that Tonka is going to be a madhouse that afternoon.

Riff raff will definitely be out on Saturday.  Won't catch me out there anymore.

Not on the weekends anyway - I'm looking at Tuesday. Yesterday got called off because of...reasons.

I wasn't specifically referring to Tonka, but the first real nice weekend will be busy everywhere.  I may still suffer through Tonka, but I don't believe the fish are where the boats will be anyways.

I have 4 soccer games to dodge so my time window is rather small, but I am going to get out and fish!
