Ya - well, given the limited time I get, and need to be close to home if the wife has an emergency - I can't hit the river. Local points only for me. Quote

My apologies @ajschn06. I interpreted your initial post that I quoted as targeting bass in early April on inland waters, which is not permitted. You are correct, there are options outside of inland waters before the "opener." Carry on Quote
Deephaven Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 ...and I failed to get to them. Darn it. Not sure where the time goes. *looks at the kids soccer, band, school schedule and sighs* Quote
Deephaven Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Between work and two little ones (9/11) playing traveling soccer I haven't had much time to go out. Pulled a beast out from under our dock yesterday, but going to target taking my boys fishing this weekend. First thing in the am? Mid day? Sunset? Night? If you only picked 2 hours which two would it be? 2nd part of the question is if you expect the lake to be busy during the 12-6pm window does that change it. Quote

Considering the current forecast has it sunny and 90 on Saturday - I'd take it as a safe bet that Tonka is going to be a madhouse that afternoon. 1 Quote

Guilty until proven innocent when it comes to fishing Minnesota!! 1 1 Quote

Riff raff will definitely be out on Saturday. Won't catch me out there anymore. Quote

Deephaven Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 I wasn't specifically referring to Tonka, but the first real nice weekend will be busy everywhere. I may still suffer through Tonka, but I don't believe the fish are where the boats will be anyways. I have 4 soccer games to dodge so my time window is rather small, but I am going to get out and fish! Quote
