I've seen this lure called the Spitfire by Headbanger lures advertised on Facebook and I wondered if it's legit or another Facebook gimmick? It's a segmented top water lure with like a scatter lip on the front sort of like the lip on a jitterbug only extended out in front of the bait. Of course they have all of the promo footage of guys catching giant bass on it but when you Google it there's really only a couple places that sell it and none of the big name retailors. On YouTube there's a couple non-Headbanger videos of guys testing it out but again...nobody you've ever heard of which makes me feel like this bait is more and more a Facebook gimmick designed to catch unwary fishermen, not fish!

If it floats, splashes, wiggles, and has hooks on it then it'll probably catch fish.

I caught my fair share on the Banjo Minnow too, lol.

They are a legit company, I own a lure of theirs for pike/Muskie fishing. They work. I bet the downsized version would work on bass.

I saw an ad on Facebook for something that would cure baldness. I'm not bald so I don't know if it works.

The spitfire looks like a great topwater and I'm sure it catches fish. Was thinking about trying one out. Any feedback on it would be great.

I have the spitfire 4.5 in black. Great action but still haven’t caught anything on it. Hoping to catch a lot of them this summer with it. Most of my topwater catches right now are from rats.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a 4.5” Ghost Shad color. We’ll see if it was a good purchase or a fool and his money parted ?.

This, 100%. Everytime I see someone say, "...one of those gimmick lures like the Banjo minnow or the Flying Lure..." I think man, you obviously never threw those things. As a kid I caught my most and biggest bass off the Banjo, couldn't keep em off that thing. PB crappie to this day was caught on a Flying Lure.

They work great I’ve caught about 60 on the 4.5inch black one last 3 times I went out and if you throw braid on top water like I do might want to change the hooks there 1x other than that sometimes might have to bend the loop back straight where the plastic lip connects to the bait
