Hey ya'll,

I've decided that I will buy one lv500 to try the bait in a grass lake back home. Wondering what colors ya'll recommend. Looking to rip grass with it. Looking forward to your responses and to finally have more time to fish soon :).

I'll be on a lake next month that has Alewife. I picked up a LV in color "MS American Shad" for the occasion.

I fish clear water and have american shad and ghost minnow.  If I'm hopping/ripping I try ghost minnow first, if I'm burning/ripping I try american shad first.

Well, if you listen to the guys from Tactical Bassin' (which I mostly do) they will recommend something flashy, something bold, something in a ghost and a craw pattern. I went with Gold Shiner (flashy), Chartreuse Shad (bold), Ghost Minnow (ghost) and T.O. Craw (craw pattern). They're new to me so haven't seen the water yet but they will soon!

For weeds/grass my thought is vertical stripe colors like ghost Baby Bluegill. Shad in more open water go flashy Shad choices.
