there is no substitute.lol seriously though the xzone slammer and finesse have been good baits for me. as well the power bait twitchtail minnow.

You know there is no substitute....the maxscent flat worm is the greatest invention since oxygen...and therefore it is now the only bait that can catch smallmouth.

If you can find them, the Maxscent flat nose minnows are just about as good. I pretty much interchange them both constantly, and catch the heck out of them with either bait.

I was lucky to get a pack of the maxscent flat worms over the winter to try out. Other than drop shotting them is there any other way people have luck fishing them just curious. I heard on a bobber nose hooked works well also.

I’m skunked thus far with the flatworm.  On the other hand, my zoom z-drop is killing them.
