U S Coast Guard Retired in 2007 after 28 years of service.

As a Boatswain's Mate duties included traditional maritime law enforcement, anti-terrorism, force protection, port security and safety, Search & Rescue and Drill Instructor.

But the best part was I got to save lives.

Plus, they let me drive boats.

All types of boats & Cutters too.

It was an honor & a privilege to serve, went by in a flash, was incredibly intense at times and I'd do ALL it again just as fast.

A-Jay

Calibration and Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.  Responsible for keeping an entire veterinary pharmaceutical plant/R&D facility in compliance with all the various worldwide regulatory agencies.  I semi-jokingly call myself a "Professional Bully" as people do not like giving up their equipment or entire areas to me to get serviced/calibrated.  But they do.  Oh yes.....they do.

Well, no degrees or fancy job titles here just the school of hard knocks.  Worked at a fishing resort in Florida as a guide and boat handler for awhile in the 60's. Did a stint in the Army (Vietnam). I was an arborist (tree climber) for 11 years in five states (got a raise everyday). Worked on a carpenter crew for seven years. After some injuries I moved to Alaska and started painting pictures. Eked out a living for 30 years doing that, even after getting married at 38. Had some of my work on several magazine covers, Alaska phone book covers, been on TV, etc. I wish I had more samples to show but lost most in a computer crash years ago. Now retired and just bass fish, weather permitting.

I've been an insurance agent for about 3 years now.  I'm licensed to write about any kind of insurance you could need, although not in all 50 states.

Prior to that, I was a kitchen manager at two different restaurants for about a decade.

That is really cool! I would love to hear stories you had to tell about all this.

On mine, I served 7 years in the US Army 2003-2010. 2 tours Iraq. Had various jobs since I got out. Spent 7 years in the motorcycle, specifically Harley Davidson, business then got out of it to work for a big oil drilling company. Oil took a big dive and I got laid off so here I am at the medical wraps and devices company.

Retired from the IT industry since December 2019 and fishing as much as possible.

My former employer contacted me this past March and asked if I would manage a project on a part-time basis working from home. The project will last until late July and I only work 10 hours per week and the money is great.

My Cajun wife told me that the money can go straight to my fishing account. Gotta love a woman like that. ?
