I ordered a 2020 7' medium Zodias (spinning) that I mainly plan to use for weightless Senkos. But I have read a few reviews where people say the new Zodias is a little heavier/stiffer than other models. Meaning a med-light is more like a medium, a medium is more like a MH, etc.

Normally I fish my weightless Senkos on a medium, but now I'm questioning if the 7' med-light would have been a better choice. I haven't been able to feel these rods in hand, so I'm hoping some of you have experience with these rods and can shed some light on this for me.

Appreciate it!

This might help. I'm in the exact same dilemma.

I have one season on the 6’9” ml zodias. My main uses are 1/8 oz shaky head with a hulastickz worm, 5” weightless bps stick bait t rigged, and  jig head wacky rig, It’s perfect for these presentations. 10lb braid to 10lb leader.

Thanks man. I even searched and still missed that thread. Yikes.

Anyways, which one do you think you're going with?

When you fish the texas rigged 5" Senko what kind of cover/vegetation are you fishing?

I actually went back to my local tackle shop and handled the 69M again and it didn't feel as stiff as when I handled it previously. It actually felt more like a Medium rather than the MH it felt like when I handled it last time.

Ugh, can't decide.

I still can't decide, haha. I'd buy both but really don't have use for two dedicated Senko setups and that's all I'll fish with this rod.

I'll fish stick worms where ever I think 10lb line seems appropriate, nothing too thick.

Just wanted to update this, I ended up going with the 68 MXF Expride as it finally came back in stock. It has the specs closest to my old Senko specific rod, the 68 MXF Avid X.

Hopefully it arrives before this weekend.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the update. I love Exprides.

I did order the 7' medium Zodias, but haven't received it yet. If I don't like it I'll just use it for other applications or sell it.

I've been using the 6'8" med expride this year for weightless trick worms.

To me the 6'8" med feels a tad less powerful than the 7' med expride. Their ratings are the same, but there seems to be a slight power difference. I use the 7' med for weightless senkos.

I wish there was a 6'10 med expride available.
