I think some folks still like to rig a t rig with a brass weight and glass bead. For this type of t rig, they're probably the most popular weights.

I've got some.  I use them interchangeably with whatever weights are in my terminal box.

Painted brass bullet weight in combination tempered glass faceted 8mm bead Texas rigged (Brass n Glass) produces a proven clicking sound that attracts bass.

The advantage is the larger hole through the weight allows the line to slide freely unlike lead bullet weights.

Tungsten is small size per weight, more expensive and doesn’t produce the same clicking sound. Be aware of sharp edges with tungsten bullet weight that can cut the line, otherwise it works.

I use them when I want the click but don't want to lose more money with Tungsten. Once I am out I may not buy more since there is some cheaper Tungsten out there now.

I just made an order of a bunch from top brass after I tried the 1/4oz red and liked them. I’ll report back on my results this summer when I am back home.

I’m still using brass N glass mostly size 1/8-1/4oz. It really work good at night. I switch to just tungsten no bead when heavier weight needed or when I need super low profile fishing around rip-rap.

I use them most often on a C-rig, but I'll use a 3/16oz. one in front of a glass bead on a Texas rig during the prespawn. Once the water clears up, I switch to tungsten.
