Super User Munkin Posted May 8, 2021 Super User Posted May 8, 2021 So LC pointers, MB Visions and pop-x get talked about a lot here but what do you use others may not of heard of? Below is a list of some baits I have great luck with that I never see mentioned. Team Diawa minnow 1092sp Imakatsu Riprizer Jackal Bonnie 95 Team Diawa Popper (Not sure of the actual name) Evergreen M1 Inspire minnow Jackal cherry Wildhunch crankbait (can't remember who makes this maybe Duo?) Jackal squad minnow Xcaliber XS4 As you can see most are Japanese baits which I am a big fan of. Allen 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted May 8, 2021 Super User Posted May 8, 2021 Once in a while I throw my Fincharoo. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted May 8, 2021 Super User Posted May 8, 2021 I don't know many other guys who own an extensive collection of Timber Tiger crank baits, from the DC1 ( which is similar to a small minus 1 ) to the DC 16 ( a fairly sizable crank that can dive to 16 feet, more of less ) These baits come through trees & brush much better than any other crank bait I've used. I make a version of the jika rig that works good for me. It is my first choice anytime I think that fish are on the deeper end of any main lake point. I haven't seen any other guys fish a jika rig at all, or the Tokyo rig or anything similar. 1 Quote
garroyo130 Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Sam Griffin wooden baits. I honestly don't throw them too often and I've never caught anything remarkable with them but there's just something about them http://www.snagaway.com/sams/samslures.html Quote
Super User scaleface Posted May 8, 2021 Super User Posted May 8, 2021 Rogers Big Jim . Its a Big O type plug . Its the most successful square bill I ever threw . Rattleless and not a lot of action but its the only crank I have that actually hunts . Quote

river-rat Posted May 9, 2021 Posted May 9, 2021 I still use the following: DC-5 and DC-8 Timber Tigers, Rogers Big Jim, and Norman Big N Snagless Sally (one of my all-time favorites) Also, I still use an Arbogast #2 Hawaiian Wiggler under certain conditions - and yes, they still produce. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted May 9, 2021 Super User Posted May 9, 2021 While the Rapala Sub Walk has been mentioned here a time or two, it's rarely a bait seen on anything pumped up my Matt Allen & Tim Little or any other YT sensation. Which is fine by me . . . Casts a mile and allows me to fish sub surface in skinny water. And starting this or maybe next week, these guys will be a Player again for me. Fish Hard A-Jay Quote

Super User Spankey Posted May 10, 2021 Super User Posted May 10, 2021 I’m sure I’m fishing a few that don’t get talked about much if at all but yesterday I caught a couple of river Smallies on a Mr. Twister Timber Doodle. Sort of a spoon & grub combination. Don’t use it all that often anymore but wanted to add a bit of flash to a favorite grub so I combined them. Also was thinking if a (small) Muskie were to hit at it he’d be in for a mouth of metal. Quote
