A couple weekends ago, I took the pontoon boat to start breaking the motor in.  My wife, granddaughter and her husband went also.  They all enjoyed it and suggested to my wife we should go night fishing in it.  Did that Saturday night and my wife caught several nice catfish, which we had for supper tonight.  It got a little on the chilly side so they were ready to go by 2:00 AM, but they are already planning another trip to just enjoy the lake this coming Sunday.  While eating those catfish, (nobody enjoys catfish more than my wife) she is already talking about when the nights are warmer, that's going to be a regular thing to do.

Wife and I also enjoy dining on catfish......at a restaurant where we can be in bed by 9.

Does sound fun though.

Outstanding!

Congrats on a job well done!

Your wife is a special person.

Take good care of her.

Mothers Day is right around the corner, too.

My fiancé and future mother in law also love catfish. I like eating them ok but prefer other species, they just love catfish all the time. Rachel likes catching them too but not at night

I installed extremely bright led lights, something like about 12,000 lumens (eight of them at 1,500 lumens each) of light under the front, back and on both sides shining down into the water, from the underside of the deck thinking we would draw some crappie and white bass in but that didn't happen. Four dozen minnows and only used about a half dozen, and that was only because we relocated a couple of times, never got a bite with them.  After about 11:00 everything got lockjaw and quite biting.

I took my wife and kids catfishing for the first time this past weekend. I had a blast putting them all on fish but I think they might have had more fun than I did fighting the fish. It helped that the boys got to roam around the shore and do boy things and my wife got to kick back in the lounge chair I lugged down the shore for her.

Yep, I was just informed we are going again Saturday night.

That I was told, not asked if I wanted to.

Sounds like I need to buy a pontoon boat! Hahah enjoy it! I'd love for my lady to love fishing as much as I do.
