Super User GreenPig Posted May 3, 2021 Super User Posted May 3, 2021 Catching turtles with artificial lures is a skill few possess. Anybody can catch fish with lures. Black Trickworm unscented. 1 4 Quote
Kdizzle Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 There is no safe way to pick up one of those Commons whatsoever. I'm hoping you got your hook and worm back intact, and the turtle was left intact as well. L 1 Quote
Super User Koz Posted May 3, 2021 Super User Posted May 3, 2021 I once had a turtle hit a bait with treble hooks and he got hooked in both the top and bottom of his mouth. It took me about half an hour to get the hooks out, mainly because he kept pulling back into his shell. I had to play tug of war long enough to tire him out. 1 Quote

My grandpa use to noodle for them, yes he had all of his fingers still. They're not that hard to unhook if you're careful. Quote
