Due to unfortunate circumstances I lost/destroyed 2 Okuma Helios 30 and RTX 30s spinning reels and can't find them anywhere.  They both weighed 6.6 oz and held enough line, 220 yds of 6 lb mono.  The RTX was 6:1 which I want and were around $100.  Do you fine folks know where I can find comparable reels?  Yes I'd like a Shimano Ci4 but being on a small fixed income it's out of the question.  Thanks, Alex

I would look at the shimano Nasci, Ultegra or Sahara depending on your budget. They are on the heavier side but  I pair my 9 oz nasci with a sub 4 oz destroyer because I’m waiting for a replacement and it does the job. I really don’t notice the weigh that much and for $100 it’s really smooth and durable (I’ve submerged mine fully at least 10 times while wading).

Thanks but I'm looking for something under 7 oz.  I have a 2.5 oz rod I built and, being old and weak, need a light reel with a 6:1 or greater gear ratio.

Diawa Fuego LT 1000 - 6.4oz, little less line, 160yds of 6#...but I only put on 70yds of mainline over backing on all my reels...no need for more really. It's only a 5.2 at 25 IPT

Little heavier is the Fuego LT 2500XH - 7.2oz, 6.2 ratio with 34.5IPT and holds 240yds of 8#

Check out the Piscifun Carbon X,I have both a 1000 & 2000 size. A tad heavier than you’re looking for but under $100.00 with braid ready spools and as for line capacity I think the website is a bit on the low end although I don’t exactly measure how much line when  I’m spooling mine. Check *** for a review and I think you’ll be surprised if you try one out. PM me if you want the site review.

I had to laugh at your Shimano Ci4 comment.  :lol1:

I tried doing some research for you.  All I've got to say is "Good luck finding a reel with those specs in your price range." Or out of it.  :rofl_red:

Think I'd rather look for bear scat on a city street.  :D

Thank you everyone.  I just ordered an Okuma Ceymar.  BTW I bought a Piscifun Carbon baitcaster a few months ago and like it.  It's very light, smooth and casts good.
