That would be correct. It grips river rocks that are underwater, slides on mud like skis. I’ve done some nice “downhill” runs in them through wet leaves haha

Ah, have have never slipped on a rock that was stationary, just when they shift due to moving too fast.  That and muddy banks account for all of my wading falls.

Around he most rocks are round and might as well be ice as far as slickness

Ah yeah I guess that makes sense, less surface area and their effect is useless on an impenetrable substance.
