When I laid them all out to take the picture, I wondered if I went a little overboard?

I personaly don't like any berkely lures. I use the power jerk shad, the deal, and the pit boss. I think the scent idea is great but the shape of their baits is odd.

Odd to whom? Never heard as bass complain about their shape, just the hooks.

I have been a worm fisherman since I was a kid.  I'm 60 now.  I've tried a lot of stuff over the years.  After I tried maxscent last year, it was so much better that I cleaned out my boxes and restocked completely with maxscent.

I'm fishing nationals on Chickamauga this spring and that's what I plan to throw.

Yeah, our Fleet Farm had them for $1.72-$1.92 per pack.  I was there again today and they had some flat nose minnows for $1.72 again.  I didn’t buy more.  I need to see how they work.  Not sure why they were doing that.  I could have bought 100’s of bags when they first went on sale.

i’ll buy a few bags of flat nose minnows if you’re looking to offload some ?

The Max Sent has worked ok for me.  Maybe just slightly better than PowerBait. The only bait that did better is the Berkley 7in Power Worm.

I think some of the designs in the MaxScent don't lend themselves well to the plastic material they use, ie. the Lunch Worm but others do great like the Flat Worm.

I also had a few of the MaxScent bags dry out, making the bait tear easier than a Senko. I want to try some of King Tail Worms. I have seen guys kill it on this bait.

I have not tried the max scent products, but I bought some tubes this fall and I intend to use them in the spring.

I have used power bait products for many years with success, primarily in ribbon worms, gulp, and power tubes.  I will post a comparison of the two when I use the tubes later this spring.

i can attest to getting bit on maxscent flat worms over other dropshot baits in certain situations. can i confirm that maxscent is the reason for that? defintely not, but it sure made me more confident in what i was using which is good enough for me. confidence is king!

Something ive paid more attention to is texture of the bait and maxscent has a different texture, finish, and feel to it that I could see not always being the best. But they sure do work, but I'm of the belief that maybe I would have still gotten a bite on a different lure. But I still use them and like them. Good action on them I think.

The Maxscent has a much more dull or muted (matte) finish.  I think it looks really natural compared to a lot of the shiny plastics you often see.  I didn't end up using up much of the supply this summer, so this Spring I am going to hit it hard with the Maxscent and hope it works like I have seen.

In my experience they shine on slower presentations. Best results have been working a spot heavily, making repeated casts through the same area. No a/b testing in those situations though, so couldn't be 100% sure. If the scent stuff really works, putting it back through an area seems like it would be the best situation. Or sitting there with a drop shot, but I'm not a fan of that presentation.
