Why did you opt for the soy sauce after already getting the virus? Your body should have produced its own antibodies.

My cardiologist insisted. I do not understand either.

. I'm not sure I'd want to live if I couldn't taste food.

You gotta be a little tougher than that!!!

True that. Yeah lose of taste sucks...but...not worse than never breathing again.

Btw an update...we are on day 5 of quarantine...probably about day 7 or 8 of illness we just didn't recognize it right away. So far we are doing well and only have allergy sinus symptoms. No fever or breathing problems...yet anyway...thank god. Worst thing we are dealing with is fatigue like I've never felt before.

I was also hesitant at first so I asked my primary care provider what their professional medical opinion was.  He said I should take it.  I'm not in any position to argue with a medical doctor, especially one that has provided me with health care for 9 years.  Also, the best data indicates that natural immunity lasts about 3 months and I have no idea if I ever had it, since I was never tested and never showed any symptoms.

Better safe than sorry. My friend survived a first go-around with it. Unfortunately, he got it again 11 months later. The world lost one of it's best walleye fishermen.

I've had it, and it was a pretty miserable experience. First week was bad day, good, day, bad day, and so forth. The second week was horrible as I would cough, gag on my swollen tonsils, dry heave, and repeat for days. Again, different people have different experiences.  The weirdest parts for me was not wanting to eat for days and then craving milk when recovering. I do know others people that wasn't so bad. I haven't had the shot yet out of reaction fears which I have had with other medications, but I eventually will.

I dunno, that's two senses gone. My Dad once said "Marry a woman who can cook cuz sex can get old but good food never does!" At 53 I'd give up sex before my taste or smell. Food is one of life's greatest pleasures. But ya it could be worse.

Ummmm yea........ you don’t have to look far to see it first hand. Some people can’t walk, some have Alzheimer’s and their families never sleep, some people don’t have arms or legs, yet live everyday to the fullest. They would love to trade for a lack of taste
