Post old front weekend commisseration thread....seems like most every week.   Had this weekend circled on the calendar for a while.  But back end of full moon spawn and a major front....should be interesting this weekend

Yeah, some of these Michigan weekends have either been rainy, cold, or extremly hot. I mean I can still fish, but I have only had some real luck about 2-3 weekends ago, when I caught my first decent bass of the year! I may just go to trout fishing with my new fly-fishing pole if it is cold again. Although this weekend should be ok, with temps in the high 70s.

My plan for Saturday is now moved to Sunday.  I'd prefer to not fish out of my kayak in 25+ mph sustained winds.

My weekends have either been cold and rainy, very windy, or I've had to work. I don't know what I'm going to do if it's sunny and warm.

Yeah, I started a thread recently about this.

We've had beautiful weather until I circle a date........then comes cold fronts and high winds greeting me at the ramps.

Looking forward to the dog days. Lol

Could be worse, you could have poison ivy on the back of your hand from breaking off a snag and holding onto the poison ivy vines while climbing on steep poison ivy covered rocks to find fish.

Not for me. I only get it if I have a scratch in my skin. The worst part is that I always stick my thumb into the sides of my pants to pull them up throughout the day. Both of my hips have the impression of my thumbs burnt into them as poison ivy.

If you need rid of it, prednisone works instantly. I’ve been covered in it head to toe many times including under carriage. My cousin has had it in his lungs from burning brush and my brother had both eyes swell shut

Even though I am retired and can fish any day I want, I like company in the boat so I go on the weekends with my longtime fishing partner who is still working.  We are going to skip this weekend and get ready for our annual trip to Lake St Clair.  I’ve got my hard baits sorted, plastics packed, rods ready and just need to sort out some clothes, get the oil changed on the truck, and freeze up a couple of large pans of lasagna for my nights meal obligation.  COVID put a damper on last year and it was an abbreviated trip but we are back with a vengeance this year.  A full week on Harsens Island in a beautiful cottage.  Can’t wait.

Probably a good weekend to skip regardless of the weather.  I lost count of the number of tournaments happening on lower Potomac this weekend.  Gonna be a madhouse

My one and only outing on the Potomac this year was a total grind.  The Rappahonock on the other hand has been fun.

Not until I got home. I should mention that it’s not a good idea to pee immediately after dicing habanero peppers either....
