TriStateBassin106 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 At my ponds the water temps are finally at 59 degrees and will probably reach 60 degrees today or tomorrow. the bite has pretty much died down from last week and earlier on, late pre spawn has been okay for me, getting most of my bites on texas rigs and lipless cranks but now that the spawn is days away what should I throw to get them to bite before the beds start popping up? 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 28, 2021 Super User Posted April 28, 2021 Not every fish in the lake is going to spawn on the same day. Here is a pretty simple article describing how bass behave during the spring. https://www.fix.com/blog/bass-fishing-by-season/#:~:text=Bass feed heavily prior to,helps egg development in females. 2 Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted April 28, 2021 Super User Posted April 28, 2021 weightless t-rigged plastics, The speed worm (oh the irony) was working well for me, but a trick worm, stickbait, lizzard or such will work well. 1 Quote
Muddy wolf Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 T rig with lite sinker or no weight lizard. Or floating jerkbait. That’s what has been working for me. Quote
AmmoGuy Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Just chunk a weightless 5" Senko in there and go to town. That is always the answer. 2 Quote
PotatoLake Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Mojo rig with a green pumpkin french fry bait. 2 Quote
