Guys, anyone fish this series that can tell me if the reels seats are uncomfortable or if the trigger placement is annoying. I can't handle one locally Thanks!

i haven't fished one but if you go on tacklewarehouse and read the reviews a lot of people find the trigger too far back and uncomfortable.

to get a standard fuji reel seat you have to go one step down to the IMX pro series.

16' ........ one piece?

For the 2016 GLX, the handle is the part that got the most complaints I believe. It's similar to Fuji ACS, uncomfortable to some, fits well to the others, depending on how you hold a rod. I didn't like it initially, even thinking about returning it, but found out that some Shimano reels fits it well. Currently I am pairing my GLX 843 with a Bantam MGL, perfectly.

Yes, I use if for bass and a centerpin rod - its the do all rod for bass and steelhead :)

If we are talking about the current version of the GLX, then put me in the "hate it" camp when it comes to the reel seat.  However, the rods are so good that it has been worth hunting down reels that feel ok on them.  I have a 783c and a 844c and if I were honest with myself, I could sell a dozen or so other rods and that pair could cover it all.

I never found any commonality to reels that were comfortable, it came down to specific reel shapes and seemed less to due with size alone.
