I have a bag of those but I got annoyed with them always sliding down the hook. I don’t know if it’s the oil on them or the hook I use but it drives me nuts. I use a 3/0-4/0 EWG.

Rage craw.

@12poundbass I’ve not had that issue. I’m using a Gamakatsu I believe 3/0 EWG hook. (Im the worlds worst for knowing what size hook I’m using). I’m typically not dragging through a lot of vegetation though. That might be the dif.

Use a straight shank with a bait keeper. Snell it by running the line through the front of the hook eye first. Increases your hook set ratios and keeps bait on hook.

yeah, I have some of them and like them.  Almost every company has one that looks just like those.

Yes they do but these, for me, seem to work better. Try pinching off the claws every now and then too. Sometimes I do that and really pop it up and down before re-positioning it. Looks like a dying bait fish.

One that nobody's mentioned, and I hate to mention it, but I find myself using hula grubs more and more. Perfect smaller bait with a great profile.

Bass get accustomed to see the same things and everyone is pitching some sort of bug. Mix it up a bit.

I use them also when the fish seem finicky. Fantastic small mouth bait too.
