This group = BAD influence

As a result of members of this particular group, I ended up with a new Shimano Metanium (JDM). I was getting it spooled up and ready and thought I would share some pics. I hope I can some day become a bad influence, too!

Love it!  Which model Adrena are you paired up with?  How's the balance?  Close to succumbing to the same bad influences.

I put it on the 7 2 heavy. Havent fished with it yet, but balance is great (I find the Adrenas to be incredible rods all the way around). I cant wait to get on the water with it.

Have the 6’11 M+ and 7’3 MH paired with Met MGLs (HG) and the 7’4 with a Bantam MGL (XG). My favorite rod series hands down including my MB Destroyers. Great setup!

That’s a great-looking rig. I know performance counts but I’d rather have a great-looking rig that performs vs one that looks like crapola. 
 

I hope you set the hook on a big gal with it soon!

WHAT???  Guys here aren't a bad influence.  Go over to that other forum where $600-$1000 rods are the norm.  And you would still have to invest another $300 or so into that Metanium to make it worthwhile to use.

I feel you RTipton, I saw your thread so I got sucked into buying 1 as well to replace my chronarch mgl. Crazy fast shipping coming from Japan. I ordered it Sunday night and it arrived earlier today. Will be comparing it to my curado 70mgl which is currently my favorite reel. Hope you catch some with yours this weekend!

The 611m+ is crazy good.  I have a fair amount of nice tackle but that rod is really something special.

Great combo there.

I have the same setup. Throwing 1/2 jigs with mine. Very sensitive rod.

Thats where I am headed. I have the 7 2, 6 11, and the 7 3. I am wanting to find the ideal reel for them, which will most likely be the Metanium. The Adrenas are special, for sure!

Great looking absolutely counts. Especially if I am not catching them!

I bought it last Tuesday night and it came Monday. Crazy. I have the Curado 70 MGL, too, and I love it. Just wanted to try this one. The Chronarch is still on the radar, too.

It's a good looking reel but I think you'll be underwhelmed with it's performance with 20 yards of line on it ?
