Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 20, 2021 Global Moderator Posted April 20, 2021 I never, ever use a C-rig. If you see me doing it, call 9-1-1, someone has a gun pointed at me somewhere. Pretty rare I fish a swim jig, just not often I run into a situation where I feel like they're better suited for it than my bladed jigs. Toads, if it's clear enough to fish a buzzbait, I use those, if not then I'm fishing a hollow body frog. 1 Quote

cdlittle Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Never fished a stickbait. The amount of anti-dropshot people is startling. It's one of my favorite ways to fish. 1 1 Quote

huZZah Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Ned, Nekos, and (N)dropshots. I know that’s three but they’re the same to me...not usable. Quote

Part of the reason I dislike it so much is that the weighted portion below the plastic always gets tangled up when I'm not using it. I got so sick of untangling it fwhile it was on the deck I simply decided to untie it lol Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 20, 2021 Super User Posted April 20, 2021 Put a hair band on the rod butt, and loop the weight in it for storing. But I get it, drop shot is boring and often isn't even the right rig for most places and situations. When it is right, it is really right. I love days catching 50+ of these things: 5 Quote

You can thread a hook or a drop sinker in it easily. Still not as economical as the hair band I stole off the bathroom doorknob ? 1 Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted April 20, 2021 Super User Posted April 20, 2021 Ah, forgot about Carolina Rig -- add that to my list too. Quote
Sir Shamsalot Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I'd have to say... frogs. I own quite a few frog lures and frog rods. Yet rarely do I fish them. Quote
AManWearingAHat Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Buzz Baits, Alabama Rigs, most top water stuff except for the Rebel poppers. Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 20, 2021 Super User Posted April 20, 2021 None that I know of but the Alabama rig comes close. I don't use it as it wears me out and so far only a few guys I know have used it without any great success in Virginia waters. Quote
Kenny Yi Posted April 20, 2021 Author Posted April 20, 2021 I'm gonna add to my original list and say: subsurface treble hook lures. Any lure that I've caught fish on trebles has not survived to today, the rest in the box are untouched. Quote
Super User king fisher Posted April 20, 2021 Super User Posted April 20, 2021 I hope I don't get banned from this forum, or have the bass police kick in my door, but the truth is, I don't use plastic worms. I have used them, but prefer other baits. 1 Quote
