Senko/stickbait...

Ned rig...

I know it's pretty sacrilegious to never use those two baits, but I just never enjoy fishing with them.

I know you asked for one but I don’t...

Drop, Shake, Wack or Ned.
I have all the baits and tackle somewhere, but I never felt the need.

There are times in the summer where a dropshot and a Ned make up 95% of what I cast all day when smallmouth fishing.

I don't even own a Whopper Plopper.

One I've thrown but haven't caught much on is a bladed jig.

Another one would be a lipless crank...the river is awfully shallow and snaggy  and other places I fish just seem too weedy. Years ago I fished places that were more suited to it and I used it a bunch but not in recent years.

I guess I have more. I never threw an 'A' rig in my life and I'm not looking to start. The other would be the hard swim baits. I just don't have any. I do have a big glide bait I bought for muskies but it's bigger than most of the bass I catch. LOL

Chatterbait. Can't see a need for it. If water is clear, as normal here, I use a swimbait. If choppy or stained I go spinnerbait.

Drop shot.  I have used it before in the past but was never very effective and I found it to be painfully slow to fish.

Swim jig. I know lots of fish are caught on em and I've decided to dabble into them some this year. Have had several for a few years just never really gave em a chance. My local lakes are heavily pressured so anything that works I'm down to try. I hate throwing a shakey head but it flat out catches fish so I throw it

For years I have felt like a weirdo because I hated using a drop shot  , but now I can come out of the closet after reading these comments today ! Thank you guys for giving me the courage to open up. Hahaha , but seriously the drop shot sucks

I know some folks on here will start fitting me for a straight jacket with my answer.

Other than big swimbaits, deep-diving crankbaits, and A-rigs, I can't think of any category of baits I don't ever use that lots of other people do.  But I didn't use a dropshot at all last year, and it's been two years since I threw a lipless crankbait.

Toads. I have used frogs beginning with the Plumber weedless frog and several hollow body frogs starting with Snag Proof frog, both over 40 years ago. Never bought or used a solid body toad.

Swim jig is great for pressured fishing.  When everyone else is making noise with chatters and spinners, the swim jig provides that subtle presentation

Every year I buy and swear I’ll use some type of finesse bait. It goes in the other storage box and at the end of the year I find it and throw it in a box. It’s not that I don’t like them or hate them. I just have so many other types of baits that work somehow someway. One year I’ll finally be desperate enough to try it I guess.?

Flutter spoons and blade baits.
