Super User retiredbosn Posted September 12, 2009 Super User Posted September 12, 2009 There is an old Indian outboard 5 hp I think for sale in the local paper, pretty cheap. I'm not a collector or anything, but thought about picking it up. Are these things collectable? Quote
bass or bass ? Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 There is an old Indian outboard 5 hp I think for sale in the local paper, pretty cheap. I'm not a collector or anything, but thought about picking it up. Are these things collectable? If this is an actual motor made by the Indian Motocycle Company, it would date from the mid 1920's. It would be a 2 cylinder horizontally opposed 2 cycle rated at 15 hp. This would be a valuable collectors item. Quote
Texas Outboard Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 The Indian Silver Arrow was manufactured in 1930 by Indian Motocycle Company of Springfield, Massachusets. It was rated at 10HP and is very collectible. Send me your email address and I will send you several photos of one so you don't purchase one of the less desirable air-cooled motors called Chief or Apache thinking that they are rare. Tom Quote
