NavyVet1204 Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Any of you T-Rig grubs? I was thinking about all of the creature baits that I have and with T-rigging being my favorite method of bass fishing, I haven’t tried to rig just a grub either weightless or weighted. Do you guys or have you guys rigged a grub like this with any success? If so, what did you use? Quote
huZZah Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I tried it on a Big Bite super grub, but ended up putting it back on a jig. Just didn’t do right. 1 Quote
waymont Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I used to fish a Zoom Fat Albert with a 3/16oz weight all the time. I caught lots of fish with it. I haven’t used one in years for some reason. 5 Quote
evilcatfish Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I use grubs on a t rig quite a bit, mostly 5” size. Great option when the fish are being finicky 2 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted April 19, 2021 Super User Posted April 19, 2021 Don’t hesitate to pick up something like a 4” Mr. Twister. Trig with a 1/0 hook. I fish weighted but to each his own I guess. 1 Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted April 19, 2021 Super User Posted April 19, 2021 I don't, but my brother does, Weightless and with a light weight, and catches with both. 1 Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted April 19, 2021 Super User Posted April 19, 2021 I fish the Zoom Fat Alberts like that. I use Gama Skip Gap 1/0 hook and a 1/8 ounce sinker. This has saved my day several times. 3 1 Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 21, 2021 Super User Posted April 21, 2021 I do like to rig a PowerTeam Lures 4.5" grub on an old school offset worm hook. 1 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted April 21, 2021 Super User Posted April 21, 2021 Heck yeah, go for it. When I leaned how to Texas rig a worm, I tried with any plastic bait I had, provided the hook size worked. T-rigged plastics of all types just plain catch. 2 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 21, 2021 Super User Posted April 21, 2021 Well, the Rage Tail Menace is a Big O version of a grub. This is my #1 presentation for Tennessee smallmouth. 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 21, 2021 Super User Posted April 21, 2021 I do occasionally . One of the few times I use an EWG hook . Kalins use to have one they called Witches Brew that I had success with . Quote

Along with a Rat-L-Trap many times. Why didn’t I start my day off with them? I use to. Majority of time I rig sort of Slider Style, I’m a creature of habit from the 70’s and 80’s. 1 Quote

When none of these work then I get out the grubs or the centipedes. 1 Quote
