This is a really difficult one. I actually sat for a few minutes and thought about my favorite rods/lines. I have individuals from several lines that make up my personal favorite lineup of rods.

If you really twisted my arm, I’d probably say the shimano/loomis conquest line. Among my rods, they have the best combination of stoutness, lightness and sensitivity. NRX is up there too...I just get a little wary about really swinging for the fences with my NRX stuff. The conquests feel like you could winch a truck with them...

A really close contender is the Legend X series from St Croix. You don’t hear them mentioned often but they’re my favorite lineup from St Croix. Top of the line components, lightweight, great balance and amazing tapers for working moving plastics, etc.

I truly appreciate everyones replies. I've been looking up everyones favorites if they're sold on Tackle warehouse. Lots of great rod lines, some of which I've never heard of and am glad i now know!

This line and the Avid series have peaked my interest...

Both are at a price I'm comfortable with.

Going to go to my local sporting goods store (Green Top) and check them out in person this week.

Thanks again!

Shimano Crucial was my most favorite worm/jig rod ever!

Sadly they were discontinued ?

My current worm rod is a Powell Inferno 703C & my jig rod is a Dawia Tatula TTU711MHXB.

I don't have a whole bunch of experience with different rod makes. For some reason, when I got back into fishing, I got in with Lew's, and when I got my first TP-1 Black, I just didn't have a whole lot of reason to keep looking very hard.

I've had two -- a 7'2" MH/F casting that I broke in a stupid accident, and a 6'9" ML/F spinning that I find in my hand way more than I ever thought I would.

They did me a huge solid and, due to supply issues, replaced the casting rod under warranty with a similar rod from their Custom Series line, and I like it okay, but every time I use it I wish I had the TP-1 I broke instead.

I'm hemming and hawing about getting another to replace my Falcon Bucoo in my every-day lineup. Nothing against the Falcon, but the way I like to fish has changed, and I keep wishing I had a rod with a faster tip.

I'm a SC fan but I also loved my old Berkley Lightning rod that I bought back in the early 90's.

I own my share of St. Croix Rods. Avid and Premiere Series rods. Some split Grip Premieres and Avid X in the mix. SC puts out a good product.

But over the last few years I’ve been fishing some Abu Garcia crankbait rods and have been pretty satisfied with rods that are fairy inexpensive in the full scheme of things. As of today I have had no problems with the Veritas series of cb rods.

daiwa tatula and daiwa tatula elite rods - can't beat them for the 150-180$ price range in my opinion

I've got to agree with several previous posters.  Hard to beat the Tatula line.  Especially since I got all my OG models at $100 or less.  :teeth:  For more $$, I am looking at the new Falcon Experts.  Falcon gets overlooked a lot these days.

Well my favorite rod is almost certainly going to be my Daiwa Steez AGS Bottom Contact rod. I haven't fished it yet (waiting until I get out the kayaks) but I can feel every vibration and every guide when I put the rod sleeve on, it's insane! From what I gather, this rod is newer than the other Steez AGS rods where they made a new specific blank and everything to try to make the best rod possible, so I have no idea if the rest of the line holds up (but I wish I had the money to find out)

Most of my rods are Daiwa Tatulas which has been my go to line. They're very solid for the price. I also own a Tatula Elite and have another on the way.

Do you have to baby that Steez in the yak?  I see that there are a decent amount of people who say the AGS guides are really fragile.

Avid, Premier and Triumph lines. I am new to the Bass X rods but so far I really like them.

I haven't got the yak out yet since I got it, but I'm aware the AGS guides basically break instead of bending. I generally don't abuse my rods in my yak though, so I should be fine as long as I'm wary of low hanging trees and low bridges etc.

I haven’t found them to be fragile though I know some have made that comment.  I have had the same bottom contact Steez since it came out and I don’t treat it any differently.  I sold several Tatula Elite AGS rods but had no problems with those either.
