Currently in production or no longer produced. I'm curious to hear what you all have to say.

I'm in the market for a few new rods and want to treat myself to something nice!

Nothing I own compares to my Steez rod but at over $500 those are not very practical for building an arsenal.  My Dobyns Champion XP and HP rods are fantastic and in the $200 to $300 range so I'll say them.

In the under 200.00 range, the Irod Genesis III are hard to beat.

Well since I would probably never find myself spending more than 100 dollars on a rod, the Fenwick HMG line is the best of that group.  Its a mid priced workhorse line of rods that have the sensitivity of a rod that should be at least 50 to 70 dollars more expensive.

St. Croix Avids.  I believe that they're at the end of production with the entry of the Victory line.  I have a Victory, and so far very little time with it in my hand (no fish either).  Although it seems to beat the Avid in sensitivity and weight, I prefer the components used on the Avid.  In the end, I think it's a nicer rod.

Well my favorite rod is almost certainly going to be my Daiwa Steez AGS Bottom Contact rod. I haven't fished it yet (waiting until I get out the kayaks) but I can feel every vibration and every guide when I put the rod sleeve on, it's insane! From what I gather, this rod is newer than the other Steez AGS rods where they made a new specific blank and everything to try to make the best rod possible, so I have no idea if the rest of the line holds up (but I wish I had the money to find out)

Most of my rods are Daiwa Tatulas which has been my go to line. They're very solid for the price. I also own a Tatula Elite and have another on the way.

Fenwick Techna AV.

Best fishing rod ever made.

They stopped production a few years back. Do yourself a favor and find one.

You can thank me later.

Phenix Maxim is one light and sensitive rod. Kinda want to pick up a casting version soon.  Not a handsome rod tho.
