Biglittle8 Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I don't sweat the details, I use an oring, hook it somewhere close to the middle. What I like about the oring, is that it tends to hold my worm on the line when I catch a fish, I just slide it back down over the hook and away I go. Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 25, 2021 Super User Posted April 25, 2021 Being an old nail weight worm wacky rigged the hook goes about 1 1/2” from the weighted end. The hook adds to the weight so the worm swims slowly down head first. Weightless Senko should also sink head first imo to allow the tail end to do it’s slight waggle while sinking so I also hook it about 1/3rd back from the nose end. 99% of weightless Senko strikes occur on the initial sink, why bother working it? Nail weighted a few hops then retrieve and cast agian. If you are concerned about loosing a soft plastic worm then use whatever helps to save them, lots of gadgets to get it done. Tom PS, the only hook I use today is Owner Jungle Wacky hook size 1 for wacky hooked Worms and Senko Quote
