Hi everyone, first of all I'm a french Canadian from Quebec, really near the borders, living in Sherbrooke. I moved down there since 3 years and its here I've come to learn Bass fishing (was living in the north near the Lac-Saint-Jean, where there's no bass, but some stripped bass...)

So I've been looking about this forum a lot recently, I'm a huge St.Croix fan, yeah yeah another one!!! Bought a first Mojo Bass as a sobriety gift, and in the same fishing season I ended with an Avid, Legend Tournament AND an Legend Xtreme (model 2019). Was telling my wife that they were some others sobriety gift since its been 2 years, but at this point... no excuses really did matter. ahahah! (I'm lucky money isn't an issue otherwise I'd be dead)

You've helped me this week to buy a new spinning reel, yeah by the way I'm a spinning gear type of guy. I always did buy Shimano (Sahara, Stradic FL) but I finally chose to leave a chance to Daiwa. first night while playing with it (yeah playing because the season only opens next friday here) I realised that the Tatula LT 2500d-XH was sort of clicking while reeling it at really low pace, went to the store and they gave me a new one that was perfect (almost lost my mind and came back with an other Stradic FL at home). I'm happy I didn't do it because it fits perfectly my Xtreme M/Fast.

I'm happy to introduce myself to you a little, sorry for my english, it's far from perfect but at least I'm trying and that's all that matter for me. I'll continue to follow a lot and discuss about fishing with you all.

Have a great day everyone and thanks

Where are u from man?

I'm living in Montreal. I fish everywhere around here...mostly the riviere des prairies and mille iles but also lac st francois.

I imagine you fish magog a lot? I've never fished it but would love to someday. What about in Sherbrooke itself? Is the fishing good in the city? Maybe I will take a drive there this summer and try my luck for some river bass!

Welcome!

Congrats on staying clean too. Addiction runs in my family and I'm certainly addicted to fishing, but there's a lot worse things out there.

I personally don't fish the river a lot, my boat is on the lake all season long because my in-laws live on the lakeside, I've got a dock there! So I fish the Magog lake a lot, do not get confused between the Magog lake and the Memphremagog! Matter as a fact I do fish the river between the two lake till the dam. There's a lot of  bass there, I catch a lot of 3-4 pounders. For the rivers in Sherbrooke itself, a lot of people fish the Magog river down the lake (3 Dam are after the lake), lots of fish there too, I suggest you to bring a lot of worms (Texas style or wacky) and you'll be more than happy

Thank you so much. Almost ruined my life being drunk all day for a couple years, now I'm free and this changed it all, definately my fishing habit too haha! Wish your family the best with this fight.

For yours, I can't help because this is the only addiction I've got left, and I won't let it go!!! Fishing is just perfect
