I tend to glam onto a technique. Right now, the flavor of the month is the Drop-Shot rig. I start there and end there.  I like how I can put it on target and add life to the bait without moving it in place (much).

there are times I recall where it didn’t work at all.  Last week I stayed with a jig way too long because, “it worked the previous time”

ive had a wacky month before.

you guys just moving techniques thru the rotation?  I sometime think I take confidence rig to a whole other level. :)

maybe summer is the time to get all the rods out. Not sure. But I am eagerly writhing until “frog month”

Shut up about the purple worms, dude.  This is the internet, and word travels fast.

Since I mostly threw cranks for most of teens and into my 20s, I buy like ten every time I go stock on hooks, weights, and plastics.  I don't do a ton of cranking, but I'll never run out of baits that have never gotten wet.  It's kind of dumb.  You might lose a plug here and there, but you don't burn through them the way I buy them.

I think I'm being toyed with.

Largely because of loose talk here on BR, I've been soaking purple plastic a lot over past few weeks.  Can't get a second look...even a purple senko gets no love....I'm about to put them all away.  One or two on a purple Rage bug....but switch to GP or ....anything else and it's on.....I'm getting a complex about purple

I just figured everyone gets more and bigger fish than me so they don’t listen

Also it’s not a ned rig so nobody throws it!

My weakness is the inability to fish from a boat. Unless my dad can let me borrow his kayak, then I am stuck to the shore. Even so, I rented a boat this summer and caught around a 4 pound bass! But other than that, I either can't get a boat to fish out of or I suck at boat fishing.

I only fish with the kreature since I caught 6 decent sized in like an hour the first time I used it. Every so often I'll try something else but if I don't catch anything in like 15 min I always switch back. I still keep buying other types of lures which all end up at the bottom of the box unused...

I suck at all of it. Luckily, I’m also dumb, so I don’t get discouraged easily.

My weakness is probably not sticking to things.  Before I go out, I'll have a game plan set up along with a plan B and C.  An hour into it, I'll be on plan N, which was inspired from digging through my tackle box for the lure for plan M and not based on any rational thought.  If I'm not getting bit, I always blame it on the lure.

That, and deep water bass fishing.  If they're not hitting a deep diving crank or a spoon, then I'm out of ideas.

Mine is I don’t give a particular technique enough time before I change up.
Is it the action?...Change the bug to a craw

Maybe It’s the color?..No bites on Watermelon/Red, grab a grn/pumpkin

Could it be the chatter bait?...Tie a spinner bait

etc etc

My weakness is never being confident if I should change the way I'm working the bait, the size/color of the bait, or switch to a different presentation altogether.

It haunts me.

Are you sure you shouldn't change faster?

The lure/presentation that has the highest man ours fished with lowest return in catching bass for me was big swimbaits.

Absolutely addicted to spending hours and days on end without results but loved using them.

After selling all my swimbaits, rods, reels it hard not wanting to use them but can’t. I hate finesse drop shot fishing but the results is rewarding, hard not to catch a few bass. Now as a occasional back seater finesse fishing means less tackle and more bass.

My go to lure is a hair jig pork trailer and always fish them knowing no one else is and have those bass to myself.

I tend to struggle with this too. Been catching them on swim jigs with a menace trailer and a rage swimmer on a jig head so I have been sort of pushing those hard. Really trying to get bit on a chatter with nothing to show for it but keep throwing it.
Had luck on the purple worm a month ago so I seem to keep trying that to no avail.
Had a major drop shot habit two months ago that I seem to have kicked, but the urge is still strong. Doubt I will be able to hold out much longer...

The weightless senko and wacky rig are calling my name as well

I wish I knew  the total number of fish I have caught on “purple rubber worms “ over the last 50 years.

Slender brunettes with alabaster skin and green eyes, and maybe skipping...

I’m liking the way you fish!  Let’s go.  But they need to bring their own gear.

I have a tremendous collection of Rapala stick baits that I've never used.  I just like the look of them and they were a big thing when I was a kid.
