Super User Bankbeater Posted April 20, 2021 Super User Posted April 20, 2021 It just stopped snowing here. We got about an inch to inch and a half. Luckily we were in the high 60's yesterday, so with the car traffic, the snow is not sticking to the roads. High tomorrow will be in low to mid 50's. Go figure. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 21, 2021 Global Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 We got about 4" today, it's gone already though. Quote

Super User soflabasser Posted April 22, 2021 Super User Posted April 22, 2021 That is crazy that many Northern states are still getting cold weather at this time of year. Weather has been beautiful where I live and the fish have been biting very good. 1 Quote

Before we moved on I put on my waders and walked through the brush to the water in a shallow cove and was standing in laid over cattails and weeds when i looked down and next to my foot was a big sunnie in a foot of water and nesseled in the weeds. I geuss it was makin a bed? I seen another movin next to a log in the weeds. We then went to Long Bridge at detroit lakes and under the bridge i caught 2 blue gill on jig with gulp minnow and a bobber. Water only 39 F and i sat my lawn chair in the water and took a seat with my waders on. My waders are not insulated and had 2 pairs of socks on and my toes got cold but i survived. Looking at the extended forecast i am staying home this weekend and will try again next weekend. 1 Quote

Ya - my luck yesterday was zilch-nada-nothing. Tried everything I could think of and not even a nibble. They're still hanging out deeper - couldn't reach them from shore. Hopefully I'll be able to get the canoe out at some point, but the logistics right now are non-conducive. Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted April 23, 2021 Super User Posted April 23, 2021 It looks like this weekend's temperatures are going to be in the mid 80's during the day. Last weekend was very nice as well. Looking forward to going fishing this weekend in the tropical paradise of South Florida. 1 Quote
