Buckle up.  SWMO is getting hammered.  It’s on the way to you.

It just stopped snowing here.  We got about an inch to inch and a half.  Luckily we were in the high 60's yesterday, so with the car traffic, the snow is not sticking to the roads.  High tomorrow will be in low to mid 50's.  Go figure.

That is crazy that many Northern states are still getting cold weather at this time of year. Weather has been beautiful where I live and the fish have been biting very good.

went out today, stayed away from the lake where i was gettin all the bass last week and tried out a lake and caught nothing.

Before we moved on I put on my waders and walked through the brush to the water in a shallow cove and was standing in laid over cattails and weeds when i looked down and next to my foot was a big sunnie in a foot of water and nesseled in the weeds.

I geuss it was makin a bed? I seen another movin next to a log in the weeds.

We then went to Long Bridge at detroit lakes and under the bridge i caught 2 blue gill on jig with gulp minnow and a bobber. Water only 39 F and i sat my lawn chair in the water and took a seat with my waders on. My waders are not insulated and had 2 pairs of socks on and my toes got cold but i survived.

Looking at the extended forecast i am staying home this weekend and will try again next weekend.

Ya - my luck yesterday was zilch-nada-nothing. Tried everything I could think of and not even a nibble.

They're still hanging out deeper - couldn't reach them from shore. Hopefully I'll be able to get the canoe out at some point, but the logistics right now are non-conducive.

It looks like this weekend's temperatures are going to be in the mid 80's during the day. Last weekend was very nice as well. Looking forward to going fishing this weekend in the tropical paradise of South Florida.
