wood0639 Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Hey everyone, I have an upcoming tournament on Lake Murray OK and I've never fished it. Any tips on where to fish in April? I know the lake is clear and has a mix of smallmouth and largemouth, the smallies being concentrated in the southern end of the lake due to clear water and the largemouth being mainly up north in the vegetation. Any tips including current water temps would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Quote
Sprocket Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Last weekend the temps were in the low to mid 50's up north. I did pretty good pitching a 3/16th oz. texas rigged swim senko and a jig n pig into the cattails. All largemouth. Retired grass grower 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 16, 2021 Super User Posted April 16, 2021 I can't offer up much more than what you already know, but if I were trying to win a tournament I would spend my day in the north end fishing for largemouth. I have caught a bunch of smallmouth there and I don't think any of them have been much over 2 lbs. 1 Quote
