End up in front of a judge for trespassing on private property, not fishing I was indeed fishing. I had as much right to fish that pond as the moron from New Jersey who stocked exotic carp in it, he lived across the pond from me. He said I couldn’t fish there because I was going to kill his vegetarian carp with a senko. Instead of pushing him into the water like I should have, I was the adult and went back inside. I was 20 something and he was in his 70s.

You don't get to shoot people who are on your property (and not in your home posing a threat). But that'll sure teach 'em not to fish yer darn pond *spits tobacco*. I'm not sure one would be charged for attempted murder for shooting buckshot at someone. Just ask Dick Cheney. Laws vary per state as to what one may do to deter or chase off trespassers and what is threatening is in the eye of the beholder, not the trespasser. Your last statement is a bit bigoted against people who live in the South. Ironically, I have found that generally, southerners are much more hospitable and would be more willing to allow people on their property than those who occupy either coast. 2 1

I also rented a condo with 4 buddies on the same course a few years after college. Needless to say I got ran off the ponds a few times . One lady told me I was going to catch a goose and I had to leave and another told me I was going to kill his precious grass carp with a senko and needed to leave. I know volumes more about fish management than any of these morons, People need to lighten up I’m with you..we snuck on some. If asked to leave we did. If not, we fished. Honestly if I get lucky to get old, and live on private water, I’ll probably be out there fishing against them for side cash..making sure they don’t keep any or leave trash behind..other than that, set the hook my man! 1

Skunkmaster-k Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 I watched a video with monster Mike and Scott Martin sneaking in somewhere to fish for some peacock bass. It was kinda weird

OCdockskipper Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 In 1986 at age 23, I got a ticket for fishing a lake that was on private property. Since there was no fencing and no "no trespassing" signs on the walk into the lake, I went back the following day to take pictures as proof to fight the ticket. A private security guard met me before I got the dam and gave me a lift in his truck the rest of the way so I could take the remaining pictures. What I didn't realize is he called the cops when he saw me. After driving me back to the road where my car was, a sheriff deputy was waiting there. I got arrested, handcuffed & hauled off to Santa Ana jail for trespassing. So there is that... 2 1

I’m a hardened criminal But seriously I can’t claim that, I guess @OCdockskippergets that title for this thread. The people that told me to leave just lived on the ponds right across from me , they weren’t authority figures but I still quit fishing when they asked even though they were very stupid 1
