JuniorFisherJJ08 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 ok, just need info On how and where to take my 1998 procraft to get completely re done on the paint and such. L Quote
Super User cart7t Posted September 9, 2009 Super User Posted September 9, 2009 Paint and such? Exactly what condition is the boat in? Correctly re-gelling a boat can be very expensive. Painting and re-gelling even more. You know that correct? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 9, 2009 Super User Posted September 9, 2009 What's a such ? Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted September 9, 2009 Super User Posted September 9, 2009 You are facing a very expensive job if it is a total redo. You might look at a wrap. I was facing the same issue several months ago. I ended up going with the wrap and could not be happier. Send me your email and I will send you the before and after pics. It saved me a ton of money. clipper Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Most 1998 fiberglass boats would not need a complete gelcoat redo. Unless your boat is severely oxidized, scratched, chipped, or blistered the gelcoat can usually be brought back with some work. Post a picture of the boat up close so the guys on this site can see what it looks like. I bet you will get some good advice that will save you a ton of money. Quote

Super User cart7t Posted September 12, 2009 Super User Posted September 12, 2009 on average how much does a wrap cost? if that can be answered Jack can answer that. When he told me I was shocked. Waaaay cheaper than doing a quality paint and regel job. Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 12, 2009 Super User Posted September 12, 2009 Price depends on how detailed you want to get with the colors, images, and thickness; Jack saved a tremendous amount because he was able to do the prep work himself. Quote

JuniorFisherJJ08 Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 This company is in your area, you can check with them about the price--http://www.gogographics.net/vehicles_boats.php yea they are in my area and gave me a quote of 6k for a basic 4 color wrap.. I know you can find them wayyyyyyyy cheaper Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted September 15, 2009 Super User Posted September 15, 2009 $1,300.00 for the entire boat. Includes the inside(Carpet to the top, top cap, and the outside(Sides) including the splashwell. If I ever get the motor finished I'll carry it back to the shop and complete the inside of the wrap. I do intend to pay him extra for the inside. Probably end up total cost of 1,500.00 or so. Still a bargain. Quote
