Is that how you rig them? I thought you would rig them the other way around.

This is the Kinami Palm Tree version watermelon chartreuse discontinued:crying-baby-2:

Ive seen riggged top/bottom or bottom/top just prefer eye of hook near skirt though never really tried other way.

Spinnerbait , jig....swim jig and senko are up there too

I can't not vote for a jig since it's so universally effective, but I didn't catch on to them for years.  However, throughout my life I have had the hardest time putting down the spinner bait rod so I guess that is my ultimate favorite.

these days I'm favoring higher tech Ned rigs

Im curious, what do you consider to be a high tech ned rig?

old school Berkley "Frenzy" lipless crank

LOL, I remember the Frenzy line.  They used to have promo deals where you would get a free bait.  I had one of the black and chrome lipless cranks for years, seemed like I couldn't lose it TN 70s were a different story though.

Drop shot bait!  My current favorite are the Missile Bomb Shots - great colors and action, and you get 15 in a pack for only $4.

A fair question - "What do I consider a higher tech ned rig?"   Ned has mentioned in I-fisherman articles that he uses late 70's/early 80's graphite composite rods with older Cardinal 4 reels( or something similar) - as part of the "frugality" aspect inherent in ned rig fishing.  He used to use 6 lb mono buy I seem to recall that in more recent articles he's mentioned using braid.

Me - I use a 5'9" Fenwick HMG graphite spinning rod with a 1000 size Pflueger reel - 15 lb braid or nanofil - generally don't use a fluorocarbon leader.  Just a little more recent and higher tech than what Ned has written that he uses.

Super Spook is my favorite to fish

A 1/2oz. Arkie jig and RageTail Craw catches me the most fish.
