I see what your talking about the DD box has more spots and smaller compartments.

 

Do you have the BASS MAFIA THE BUD BAG for buzzbaits?

if so do you put them in hook first or blade first. They are really a tight fit

That makes perfect sense. The DD box is taller so you put them upright, there may be a little bit of wasted space with smaller ones, but it's much less of an issue that way.

 

I do not have the Bud Bag, so I can't help you there.

If you cut the removable dividers to make them shorter, you can lay the bill over them and get at least 30% more baits in a Plano (Edge or original) box (and fill a lot of the air space). I have a picture somewhere.

Not trying to beat a dead horse but with hook bonnets you could probably toss all your crankbaits into a Plano with a single open compartment.

One more thing that I’m not sure has been mentioned.  You can get much better deals through Amazon or eBay v. the TW bonnets and they are all pretty equal.  They come in multiple sizes but if you are using on squarebills, the pic below may help with scale.  For me, the blue one’s fit the best.

I got a 60 pack of medium size 'Al's Golfish Hook Bonnets' from Amazon - they fit as well as the Owners, but lack the 'button' on the bottom for easy grabbing.

 

Difference in price between the Owner and the Al's Goldfish was 1/2cent per...or to put it another way...45 Owner for the same price as 46 Al's - I'll get Owners from now on as I like that 'button'.

Well heck...that’s not much of a savings.  I did see some that were 50 for $4.50 but I haven’t seen the button on anything other than Owners.
