If you own a digital scale they aren't estimates. Or you can look them up on one of the weight lists floating around the web.

 

My first rod was 5'5" and made of steel of some sort. It seemed to weigh a ton, but I was little in the mid-50s. The handle was cork and the seat was some kind of pot metal I'd guess from the way it slowly corroded over the decades. Probably from black sea bass fishing come to think of it. Those were the days, one rod and one reel.
