CrankFate Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 And fishing. Brings out the worst in everyone. Including me. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 8, 2021 Super User Posted April 8, 2021 You are only in control of yourself. The internet works the same as everything else, save for the permanence. 2 Quote
CrankFate Posted April 8, 2021 Author Posted April 8, 2021 Yes. I’m used to it. But I hit a lot of money fish over the last 10 years (after getting completely scammed by those running one relatively big contest), though, so it all works out. Its worth it once you see your kids get some of those money fish a few times. Quote

Super User soflabasser Posted April 8, 2021 Super User Posted April 8, 2021 Best piece of advice I can give you is to focus more on your bass fishing game and worry less about what some person says online about you. 3 Quote

Not sure I follow either but not worrying about what others think about you is the way everyone should go thru life. The only ones I need to worry about pleasing are mom, dad, and God. Everyone else can go scratch. 4 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 8, 2021 Global Moderator Posted April 8, 2021 Anonymity. No one has a face or name. They’re just a person we know we’ll probably never meet so we don’t care. For some people all basic human kindness and respect is lost. Which is truly sad Mike 7 Quote

But watch how people suddenly clam up when they are next to that person at the red light up the road. How aggressive are we when face to face with someone? We are strange animals. And I live my life for no person or supernatural entity. My family are happy with me, it turns out. That's good. 3 Quote

That thread got closed. You forgot to mention one's better half (Wife, Husband, etc). 1 hour ago, Mike L said: Anonymity. No one has a face or name. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 9, 2021 Global Moderator Posted April 9, 2021 If I had a dollar for every time I've typed up a response to a stupid comment, just to end up deleting it because it wasn't worth it. There's a quote out there that I really enjoy that pertains to this about arguing with idiots and playing chess with a pigeon. I can't post it but feel free to look it up. Mark Twain has a great quote on it also, "Never argue with stupid people, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." 3 Quote
