Drussell Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Anybody have any tips for how to catch early spring bass on the fly? What flies are best? I'm going this weekend out in my canoe and am hoping to get my first bass on the fly. Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted April 8, 2021 Super User Posted April 8, 2021 For numbers, it's hard to beat a black Montana stonefly. For size a small streamer or clouser, and a popper is always good once the water gets into the mid to high 50s as it is in a lot of places right now. Quote
Drussell Posted April 8, 2021 Author Posted April 8, 2021 not sure the stonefly would work I live on cape. Quote

Drussell Posted April 8, 2021 Author Posted April 8, 2021 fair enough ? how should I work a clouser if I use one? The water temp is roughly 45-50. Quote
