Hey everyone, I'm finally making it out to Stockton Lake in late April. I'd get a big kick out of catching a LM, SM, Spot and maybe even a Meanmouth. Would anyone be willing to point me to a general location on the lake to put the boat in where all 4 species would congregate this time of year? I believe @moguy1973 mentioned the Masters area in my post this winter about best Smallmouth lake in the area. The lake is currently 5 feet high and 52 degree surface temps. I'm guessing I should be hitting around the spawn or close to it for some of them, the moon will be full the day after I fish the lake. Pitching brush? Still a wart/rk crawler bite in April? Jerkbaits? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I've done best in the area between Hawker and Roark Bluff. My only meanmouth I've caught from that lake was not far from Hawker my last time on the lake on a jerkbait. I had a grand slam that day, plus a giant drum and we had a 2 man limit of walleye.

I fish it a lot.  I wouldn’t say that there is an area where they all congratulate.   I have only had a couple of meanmouth.  I also don’t catch very many spots.  Smallmouth can be anywhere in the lake, however, I find more north of the confluence of the Little Sac and Big Sac rivers.

I f the water stays up the largemouth will probably be in the brush.  The smallmouth will probably be spawned out and on the flats.

I saw water surface temps from 55° to 57° in the Little Sac Sunday with nearly muddy water.

I will be fishing it hard during that time period.  I will launch at Hartley Branch, Crabtree Cove or Stockton Park depending on the time of day that I choose to fish.

My baits of choice during that time period usually are spinnerbait and buzzbait early, tubes, shaky, Ned, jigs, and brush hogs T rigged later or at night.

What size boat and motor will you be using?

Will you be day or night fishing?

Thank you for that helpful info. I will have a 19ft Tracker 195 with a Merc 200hp. We have the ability to make a run around the lake if need be. I think we plan to fish from 8 in the morning to 8 or 9 at night.

Headed back to Stockton today and Pomme for Friday/Saturday. Kind of bummed out we got this cold front leading into the weekend, but it’s the time that I have to go, so I’ll just have to use my noggin to figure them out.

Anyone been fishing any of the Ozark area lakes? Just wondering what water temps have been like.

I’ll be throwing up a report in the KC area thread next week.

Jerkbait, wart, and A-rig should get it done.

Stockton has been about 50° give or take.  I’m staying home until Monday and letting things warm up.
