honestly I am the person that I am numb and I am not getting affected easy. But my friend he was 70 and he drove 1 hour to get there for some carp fishing and because of those guys, he couldn't handle it and about less than hour he left. He really couldn't stay, That music was laud, I mean laud all over the park could hear it.

I just wanted to share it with you guys.

I need music at my construction site, at the house when I’m working out and in the car driving.

Music is so diverse now that I can’t imagine someone in their 70’s tolerating much of today’s genres.

If someone wants to irritate me, noise is the way to go. Certain sounds I just cannot tolerate. Other people's music usually is one of those, even if I like the music. I would have left too if the music wasn't going to stop.

Then again, I hate obnoxious people. I may secretly call authorities instead if I knew there were noise ordinances or park rules. Depends on my mood and situation.

I see. That music can be annoying. I personally would have left and fish somewhere else. For me fishing is a time I go to relax in the Outdoors so I do my best to fish in places away from people.

I would have still fished in another location. Maybe it is different where you live but where I live there are many places where someone can fish.

Will never understand why people want to insult nature with their ghetto blasters.

They should stay in their cars with the windows rolled up.

Especially on the water, the noise carries so far, combined with the fact the people who do this have abhorrent taste in music.

It's bad enough when people bring them to the flats on their kayaks, but the worst of all was certainly Quartz Creek on Kenai.

You mistakenly put a 'T' where I'm sure you meant to add a 'C'.

I absolutely hate loud music when fishing.  Not saying you can't play music, just keep it down so I can hear mine.  Because everybody knows mine is better.

I love music.  Any kind of music. I love music, just as long as it’s grooving.

And just as long as it’s not while I am fishing.

There's a time and a place for everything. Blasting or even playing music out across a lake is about as rude and inconsiderate as you can get. I don't want to hear your music. I didn't come to fish and enjoy solitude only to be annoyed by some Idiot with a radio who wants to be Wolfman Jack on the lake. Ever heard of ear buds?...  use them, enjoy "your" music and spare the rest of us.

I went to a large lake on a weekend once ~ my bad. I don't care for big, noisy, heavily congested lakes with million dollar homes on every acre. There was a guy there with one of those long $170,00 speed boats  doing about 90 mph while blaring the song: "Brandy, you're fine girl, what a good wife you would be but my life, my love, my lady is the sea, do do dodo" ~ really? Now I like the song, don't get me wrong but I'd rather hear it in a little restaurant while eating a chili-dog, not while I'm fishing, bobbin' in his 3 foot wake.

It is crap, not music. Anybody with any sense of decency, respect, or common sense would never listen to that. So you know what kind of people you are dealing with.

The wake boats here love to do that. Their speakers are mounted to the tower. So not only are they creating monster waves that swamp boats and erode shorelines, but they’re blaring loud rap music as they go by.

It’s gotten to be so bad that there is a legislation proposal here in MN to ban them within 500 feet of any shoreline or other watercraft.

Ya, I've put in my 2-cents to St. Paul about this...course they'd have to come up with the money to increase patrols - especially on Minnetonka where the nuts come out in full force.

Amusing that Tonka has so many as well as it is a terrible watersports lake.

Sorry you had a crap experience due to some idiots.  Curious what you use for carp fishing from shore as they are always cruising a block from my house and I've never used any bait other than a french fry...but that is only in a couple very particular spots

Use crushed bread, strawberry jello with sweet corn, mix them all and you’ll have best carp dough(secret is to use same lake water to mix them all). When you make your egg and want to push hooks inside, just put couple corns to the shank of hook. They are so fun to catch.

If you don't like wakeboarders blaring music, don't come fishing on the TN river!! Its all day everyday, I've even seen (and heard) them out in the winter. As stupid as they are, I ain't letting them run me off!!! They aren't as diehard as we are, don't back down
