There was one on another site - but it ended yesterday...waiting to see if I was one of the winners.

Check other fishing web-sites - several run contests. The one where I entered for the lure-box has given away rods, reels, line, lures, clothing and even a sonar.

Over the years, we've given away tons of rods, reels, lines, lures, tackleboxes, clothing, hats, sonars....heck, we even gave away a BBQ one time!

Seems other sites like to copy us.  But we're still the only ones that gave away a BBQ. LOL!

You could always resort to buying them.

So nobody can name any?

Sorry - can't...the site I enter contests on isn't welcome here.

Buying your own lures is better than hoping someone gives you some.

OK, I know of something.

When you sign up to be on Biospawn's email list, you get added to their "tester list", and you have a chance to be selected to receive a free sample.

A few years ago I was selected one month and got a handful of free worms and craws and to "test":

I don't know if they still do this, or how often, but they still say so on their site.

lol, it was like 5 years ago -- Biospawn was still a bassresource sponsor.

They said in the letter they only ask that recipients spread the word. So I posted a  review here of the 6.5 plasmatails, which were new at the time:

I'm not so sure they even do this anymore.

Everything in life costs money. Fishing gear isn't an exception.

You know what they say: If it's free, you are most likely the product.

Since you live in Texas, I’ll give you a few free lures if you help me clean out the garage this weekend.  Just sign up here:_________.

Place an order with the Charlie Brewer Slider Co in TN. They always include a few free sample baits to try. One of the few companies I know of that still does this.
