Sending my best to the Houston family. I never disclosed this, but I almost lost my step father back in Jan to a stroke/covid/dementia diagnosis. He has been home for about 3 weeks now and is doing okay. I hope she pulls through and makes a full recovery.

I saw the video late last night. That was very touching, but also hard to see him so tore up like that. I have thought about them several times today. I hope his prayers are answered.

Sorry to hear that. These past few years have not been good for a lot of people. When a friend of mine was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer a year ago (he recently passed away), to make matters worse, his mother had a major stroke after hearing he was terminal and incurable.

For what it’s worth, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Only person I've ever asked for an autograph just to let you know how I feel about Jimmy Houston and his family. Grew up watching he and Chris fish on JH Outdoors. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Praying for the Houston family. I can understand what he is going through. Like @Darren. I lost  my mother to the same thing many years ago.

Thanks for posting this.
Everything he said is so true. Miracles do happen, you’ve just got to believe they can. A pastor told me once if you ask God for anything he will say yes or no, never maybe. If the answer is no, you’ve got to believe He has a better plan for your life. That is why you have to take the time to tell everyone in your life that you love them and take nothing for granted. We never know when we are to be called. I know that I am guilty of not doing this and times like these are a major wake up call.

Sherri's Update 4/9/20201
Morning rounds show she is stable with no setbacks. We are having a little issue with her blood pressure and trying to figure out a dose that will keep it in the desirable range. It took a few hours during the night but got it back down and it has stayed down. She is fidgety according to our nurse. I take that as a good thing LOL Dad is resting and visiting Lucy and her family today. Daniel and Houston are doing the Lucy update this evening. I am trying to stay caught up on reading our Facebook messages and not doing very good. We haven’t begun to even make a dent in at least reading the comments. Please don’t be offended if we can’t react or respond to each one. We have been so greatly blessed by your outpouring of love and gifts. I’ve got to get a list together of them all. We have just shook our heads in amazement of the way our social media family is blessing and praying and uplifting us. These thank you’s come from our entire family.
I also respectfully and not being rude because we do appreciate your concern, but ask to refrain from the comments asking for updates. We will post at least once a day. Not on a schedule because I just don’t know what is going to be going on. I started typing this at 7:30 and you see how long it’s taking me LOL. I’m like my lab, I chase squirrels all the time. And there are a lot of squirrels in this hospital! Dad and I are also working on the edits from his publisher on the new book. I really appreciate you guys that hop in and answer some of those questions too. Not sure I’ll get a post up tonight but I’ll get something up sometime tomorrow.
Remember, we love you! Keep those prayers going up.

Jimmy is overwhelmed with joy, brought tears to my eyes.
