Just got my new swim bait setup for this season, a Dobyns Fury 806HSB and a Daiwa Tatula 300. Got the rod for $97 shipped from a popular online vendor and the reel for $200 shipped from KTP (extenuating circumstances did get it down to the final price but they were willing to price match a cheaper price online). Can’t wait to do some swim bait fishing!!!

what baits do plan on throwing with that rod?

S-Waver 200, Storm Arashi Glide, Baitsanity Antidote, 8" Savage Gear pulse tail trout, 8" Megabass Magdraft...maybe down the road an 8" Huddleston.

I think your gonna like the Storm Arashi's action. Had mine out last week, and the way it swam with just a small amount of reel turn was amazing.

I'm really interested in how you like the new reel.
