gall Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 So I'm looking for a new multi purpose m/f spinning rod. I know both these are similar price points. I have a dobyns fury ml/f spinning rod which I like. That being said between these 2 which would you choose? I heard good things about both jusy a tough choice. Quote
Michigander Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 If you're particular about where the hook keeper is located, that's a tangible difference between them. 1 Quote
thunderblack Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Hands down tatula. Very impressive rod for the $ Quote
walleyecrazy Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I have and enjoy rods from both lines, but if I had to pick between the two I’d go with the Tatulas. Quote

Both good rods, but the Tatula is so much more comfortable to fish with. The 7'1 ML F can do just about anything. Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted April 6, 2021 Super User Posted April 6, 2021 Are you going to use braid? If so, I'd go with the guides on the Sierra. But like you said, they're both good rods. jj Quote
swhit140 Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I have a good number of Dobyns rods and they make good rods. I bought a Tatula Spinning rod at a 50% sale so it was a no brainer purchase. I would still buy another Tatula rod, they are very good rods. The casting & spinning Tatula rods are legit rods. Quote
gall Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 Thanks guys looks like the tatula is the winner. Do they fish in the higher end of the weight ranges? Or right in the middle or low end? Quote
