they say OT spend LOTS OF TIME personally making the OTG 6 " in his garage"...... I call bull on this! If you have a DT Flat 7 & a OG 6, get them, and place them against each other, side by side, and beside the completely different lip design & lip material, these cranks are 100% same size/ thickness , balsa material, & weight in every possible way. I believe the OG 6 is just a DT Flat 7 with a circuit board lip attached to it. Would not be surprised one bit if I'm correct. JMHO

my picture files seem to be too big to post here so I will post a link below, with pictures that i posted on another forum.

He doesn't make all of them in his garage. He designed them there according to every interview and review I read. The ones I own fish very well.

I'm just saying that the body of the OG 6 is NOTHING NEW!  It is the EXACT body as the DT Flat 3 & 7. Click on that link i posted above, and read other's opinions.

Doesn't appear to be an exact copy according to a quick google search of length and weight. I've never cut either one of them open to see how they're constructed.

Ott's Garage Slim 06 2-3/4" 1/2oz

DT FLAT 7   2.5"   3/8oz

I'm picturing a bunch of the pros sitting side by side on a table with tiny hand tools like elves in Santa's workshop, and Ike saying "I want to be a dentist"....

Well , A flatside crankbait in general in nothing new. There's about a thousand guys making them in east Tennessee.

The flat-7's I looked at on ebay are coffin bill and the og6's I own are round. Still not much similarity.

I stated in my post that only difference is the bills used. Bodies are identical!

"Bodies are identical!"

But the weights aren't. The bills aren't. Who knows what else isn't the same. You insist the the bodies are identical. Do they float the same? Do they track the same? Have you dissected both of them and compared the balsa density, the paint thickness, etc.?

I'm sorry you fell for the advertising. It's been pretty widely known/accepted that the mod he did was remove the bill from a DT flat 3 and 7 and put his own bill and relocate the line tie for different action. Shortly after the beans were spilled in early 2019, Marty Burns was doing this mod for a lot of people on Wood Bait Nation. The baits have very different actions
