Super User slonezp Posted April 3, 2021 Super User Posted April 3, 2021 All that's left is new bunks which are supposed to be delivered Wednesday, and installing the fishfinder. Waiting on that until the bunks are installed because I don't want to damage the transducer when I pull the boat off the trailer. Kid is going to bring the outboard over when he helps me with the bunks. 9 Quote

I've had to cut every bolt so far, with an angle grinder, on everything I replaced. I just don't want to screw around with it. I'll just cut off the old hardware and bolt up new. 2 Quote

E-rude dude Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Looks sea worthy might consider an extra battery since that is your only means of propulsion Quote

He's giving the motor back to me. The boat I gave him was a 14ft Lund that I threw both a bow and transom mount motor on. He lives on an 80 acre lake and said the TM's are fine for what he needs. 1 Quote

Super User slonezp Posted April 18, 2021 Author Super User Posted April 18, 2021 She's finished. I'm going to name her "It'll do" List of upgrades: Trailer bunks, trailer lights, wheels/tires, wheel bearings, jack, winch, new seats and transom, Garmin Echomap, battery, battery box. All the upgrades installed with SS hardware. The motor is a 1960s 15hp Evinrude I bought for another 14footer maybe 8 or 10 years ago. It started on the 3rd pull with new fuel and a bottle of seafoam. 5 Quote

They have them in various lengths from 2 foot on up. 2 minutes ago, Jigfishn10 said: Cool man! What did you end up doing on the inside of the transom? Fishingmickey Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I hope I can make a suggestion? You have all the weight (gas tank, motors and battery) in the back of the boat. Maybe try moving the battery forward. I have a very similar boat except I mounted my trolling motor off the bow. With the trolling motor and battery up in the front the trim is much better for me. I do love my old "tin cup". Fishingmickey 1 Quote

I'll see what happens after the maiden voyage. Quote
