Electronics and trolling motors are in short supply. Im guessing it's because of the computer chip shortage. Wanted a Helix because I'm very familiar with Humminbird but just joined the Garmin squad. I paid more for the graph than I did the boat. It's a sickness. ?

That's not uncommon for me.  Paid $1500 for a pontoon boat, and it's looking like I'm gonna have to pay $2000 for a trailer to haul it on.

Paid $300 for a Mercedes, and $1,500 for an analyzer to trouble shoot it.

Tacklewarehouse has a few new Lowrance graphs in stock still...I have been looking at updating my TM, and my graphs for a while. Just cannot pull myself to do it right now.

I am looking for a used Terrova or something with spot lock for now, since the stock is non existent.

Same here buddy. Couldn't find any of the Solix units I wanted to so I went with Garmin as well. Love it so far. I think you'll be pleased as well.

Welcome to the dark side!

What unit did you get?

When you get your new boat you’ll need to get the Garmin Force TM now. ?

That's set up I had on my Lund. An 1198, 1199, and Terrova Ipilot Link networked together. You'll need the ethernet hub to connect all 3 together.

How did you like the Terrova?

......and it is going to get worse

I was chatting with an importer yesterday.

He told me the 2 biggest problems are shipping containers ( Amazon and Walmart bought almost all available units in the world) and worker shortage at major ports ( Workers being paid not to work).  He said it is likely that it will take a couple years for the supply chains to be returned to normal and with all the extra cash, inventories are depleted.  Guess I will be waiting to upgrade a lot of things.

I loved it. Had the 112 lb thrust. Next boat will have the Ulterra with Ipilot Link.

Well I think I found the only Ultrex in the state of Indiana. My local tackle shop had a new one in stock 80lb 45'' Ipilot non link. $2400 plus tax. Snagged it up real quick just in time for my first tournament this year later this month!

Yea I sold my other trolling motor to help upgrade. I also have a spare Johnson 50hp outboard sitting in the shop trying to sell to help upgrade costs.

They're not cheap. I paid $1400 for my Terrova in 2013. The latest version runs $2700

I’ll be hooking my 93SV units up this weekend and getting the boat ready to launch hopefully next weekend. I still need to order an Ethernet cable for the two. I’ve played around with them in my living room and I’m happy so far.

I’m liking the touchscreen! I think you’ll be a lot happier with the SV.
