Hello, I’m having problems With my reel I spooled it up with mono backing to my braid and everything is working just fine now thank you everyone for the help, now when I tighten my reels drag star when I pull the line out it’s making like a loud almost screeching sound while I pull the line out only on the tight drag setting now the low drag, it’s a lews speed spool and just has the standard magnetic breaks please feel free to leave your suggestions bellow thanks Marcus.

Might need some oil and grease, one of my reels had the same drag problem after a full season, I put in some shimano bantum oil and it fixed everything up nicely, also make sure you clean the reel good before applying

Don't oil/grease your drag. That's a good way to have no drag.

Have you use braid before? What kind 4 strands PowerPro? It might be just regular noise coming out when braid crush each other while pulling out with tight drag? If you want just upload the sound here for easier diagnostic.

What are you/using to pull the braid off after tightening down the drag? If by bare hand it can’t more then a few pounds of drag.

Drags are often greased from the factory in the case of Daiwa and Shimano.  Abu and other Doyo reels (Lews, Pflueger, BPS) usually come shipped dry.  Greased drags have a much lower startup, smoother performance, and don't stick or skip like dry drags.  A dry drag will have a marginally greater capacity at the sacrifice of smoothness.  As long as a drag specific grease such as Cal's or Shimano drag grease is used, it's completely fine.

Proper Drag grease is also how you prevent wear by carbontex washer edges on bronze main shaft/gear.

also note you never need an excess of Drag grease, but a continuous thin film.

Not to mention grease greatly increases the life of the Carbontex.  When dry those Carbontex discs will wear to a shine over time.

Which is a reason why when I ordered some Carbontex sheets to create drag-washers for my reels that still had oil-felt, I also ordered a tin of Cals.

I have to agree with this. Sounds like first time braid user to me. The sound can catch you off guard.

My reel is still holding up with perfect drag after my experiment, no noise or anything.

Doesn’t matter if you grease your drag on not, drag doesn’t make sound, only jerky or smooth. This topic is about noise coming from the guy pulling line out when drag tight.
BTW some drag need grease like Felt, some doesn’t require and still remain smooth, like smooth drag.
