I'm looking at the sk rage cut r worm and the zoom ultravibe speed worm. What's some of your favorites that produce that you think have an edge towards others in the market and what's the best way to fish them thanks again!

I like zoom 4.5 or 5” white paddle tails T rigged. Also the big bite dean rojas paddle tail 4 or 5” in green pumpkin or tilapia. They’re not expensive and they produce for me consistently. Hold up pretty well too.

I fish the Cut-R T-rigged just off the bottom. Steady retrieve, tick the bottom and pop it

when it hits something.

Gambler Burner worm both small and large catches them. Little bit thicker than Zoom so won’t tear up as bad.

I use the rage tail worm as a trailer, weightless, and Texas rigged.

very versatile bait.
don’t  put it on a bladed jig though, doesn’t work, fish hate it, it’s like a banana in the boat, total jinx, never catch another fish again, you were warned.?

Zoom UV! All day! Love that worm. I have used it and got bit a several different ways. For what I think you are talking about, I would buzz the worm on the surface or just swim it quick under the surface. I have caught fish with it as a swim jig trailer too. In my opinion it creates a very natural swimming action. If you are buzzing, make sure cut part of the tail faces down. Better action that way.

The Zoom. But several packs because fish destroy them.

Those are the only 2 that I throw anymore.
The magnum speed worm has been my go for years.
I usually use a 3/16 and swim over and through scattered grasses of any kind.

The magnum is great also on top through a pad field especially when the frog bite dies out.

I've been throwing the UV SpeedWorm for longer than I've been on this site, but mostly weightless.

I opt for ribbon tailed worms from 6in. to 12in. for swimming.

I believe it was the 2018 Challenge Cup in Louisiana that Ish won a round using a swim worm.  I don’t know if you can find that video but he did an excellent job of breaking down the techniques he used.  Basically he said the swim worm allowed him to fish 3 different techniques with one cast.  He could swim it, drop in open spots in vegetation or wood and fish it like a t-rig worm, and I can’t remember the third (I think it was buzzing like a topwater).  He was able to hit the entire water column.  I believe he was using a Speed Worm but I’m not positive.

+1 on the Bass Assassin. I also have been using a lot of zoom magnum 8"  rigged Texas with no weight. The hits seem to come on the fall almost every time.

A swimming worm is deadly on Florida bass.  The first decent bass I ever caught I caught on a natural worm colored prerigged Creme worm with a spinner on the front. That was nearly 60 years ago.  Since then, weightless worms have caught a ton of bass for me.  The term swimming worm can mean many things.   Pulled straight with a weight in the front, it's a swim bait.  I fish Zoom Trick worms with 8 pound test and a small swivel tied 12-14" in front of the worm.  This near weightless rig is weedless and catches bass when nothing else will. It's deadly on bedding fish.  If the bite is tough, I use a 4" Zoom Finesse worm.   This rig works great if you are fishing in the back of the boat.  You can fan cast it out in the open and catch fish the guy in the front doesn't.  Makes my day when the old man kicks their butt.  ?

Oh yeah Captain, remember those?  I loved that rig with the little spinner on the front.  I have never used one again since the first got torn up.

What size hook, and weight do you suggest? Spinning or baitcaster? :)

Thanks guys these are some great suggestions. I will try them weightless over pads and with a bullet weight with a steady retrieve on the bottom and see what they want.
