I'm looking to buy a T/M for my boat which has a little flat surface for bow mount T/M. I have a problem of lifting my transom 55 # Endura which I'm using on the bow! I have seen pros's using a T/M that has a rope and a handle that all they do is pull and it comes out of the water very easily! So anyone could steer me in the right direction. I do have a little resource in money so please help me out on which T/M to look at!

Thank You in advance!

A word of advice.  Stop using the green coloring for your posts.  They're difficult to read and hard on the eyes.

Thanks for the info, but I'm still not sure what kind of motor! I have decided to get a 55# but which type for lifting and lowering in the water. Oh yes! " Sorry for the GREEN color".

You're probably referring to the Minn Kota maxxum series with lift assist. Those have springs that aid in the upward motion of lifting the motor up while you pull the rope. I don't know if they made the lift assist in a 55lb model. To my knowledge the lift assist models have been dropped from the line. I don't know if the new Fortrex models have lift assist or not.

Thanks, I'm going out today and look at some. I know Dick's has some and they are close to my home! Cabela's to far and Pro Bass Shop also is far! Gander mountain is almost the same distance as Dicks. I'll have to get the quick release for it when I buy it! Maxium & Fortex models, what about the Edge models are they any good?

Look at the Minnkota Fresh Water Bow Mount Maxxum or Edge trolling motor for the 55# 12V models.

The variable speed motors in the Maxxum line are more battery friendly.

The Foretrex models are the ones with Lift Assist and are not available in less than 80# thrust or less than 24V.

Motorguide has a couple of 54# thrust 12V bow mount motors with the Pro Series being 5 speed and the Digital Tour being variable speed.

The difference in the multi-speed motors and variable speed motors is around $250, but worth the extra for the longer run time.

I got a sweet deal on a 70# 24volt maxxum. Price most places is 750-780. They had sticker on them for 720.00. Also offered incentive for gander credit card which gave 10% off and a 50 gift card. So 720.00-72-50=598.00 before tax. This was feb or march of this year.

Went to Dick's in Danville, VA. and they had couple of transom mounts 55's and 40's and had only one 40 bow mount. So I'm heading down to Greensboro, NC. in the morning after I get my heart pumping with my coffee first for the long haul! Thanks everyone for your opinions they all helped!
