newriverfisherman1953 Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Good luck finding anything. I haven’t been able to buy ammo in a year. 1 Quote
BigAngus752 Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 CCI makes a .45ACP shotshell. They don’t function reliably in semi-automatic pistols so be prepared for that. 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 23, 2021 Global Moderator Posted March 23, 2021 I’ve had customers tell me Snake shot bounces off snakes but regular bullets work much better 2 Quote

Yes, this is what I keep hearing. I guess there is a difference between crimped metal case and the plastic crowned(?) 9 hours ago, NHBull said: https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/check-out-revolver-shotgun-could-be-ultimate-gun-54337 In .410 or the Judge the Judge is pretty common on farms No funds for new gun, but I like it. At least I wouldn't have to worry about the cycling problem. 2 hours ago, TnRiver46 said: I’ve had customers tell me Snake shot bounces off snakes but regular bullets work much better Thanks, hollow points or ball it is for now. At 4 or 5 feet, it was lethal. I am not sure why the inability to re-chamber a round in a .45 would matter, it only takes one shot to take one out. A Taurus Judge works, but the .410 is really way more than you need. And a .44 with a load of #6 shot is a very good grouse load, even the Blues. Quote

Whatever Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Well, at 4 or 5 feet, there usually wasn't much of the snakes head left. I imagine it works out to 10 feet if the pattern is tight enough. I killed three of four dozen with a various handguns, then switched over to a 4 foot pole with a noose on the end. It was very effective, and didn't spook the horses. Quote
